World Linguistics 2022 Annual Report

Updated: Dec 29, 2022

With 2022 coming to a close, we wanted to take the time to share our 2022 report with our students, listeners, viewers, and other stakeholders all around the globe. There's a lot to share, and we've made tremendous progress. This is a public report for anyone to view but is intended mainly for internal and external stakeholders. The report does not include financial or cashflow information as World Linguistics, LLC and its projects are privately owned.

1. Expanding Accessibility With Our Educational Videos

In 2022, we've partnered with Suvidha Foundation, located in Delhi, India, to expand accessibility in financially challenged sections of India. The product that was created to push the partnership forward has brought in views but has not yet received substantial feedback as some of the details are still being deliberated by both parties. More info about this is expected to be released in late 2023 as both parties deliberate according to the agreement that was signed.

2. World Linguistics Podcast Listenership Grows by 32% This Year

World Linguistics Podcast published a total of 150 minutes of content and thirty-six episodes this year. Our podcast presence has expanded into 19 countries, and grew significantly this year with 32% more listenership by the end of November than at the beginning of January. This was one of its best years.

3. We Introduced A New Service

This year, we announced the launch of our first Spanish tutoring service in April 2022 and expanded the service in July to introduce Spanish conversation practice to academic and nonacademic students who wish to either swap out their tutoring sessions for conversation practice, or want to practice the language on Zoom with a fluent tutor/teacher. The service experienced slow growth this year due to some economic factors, but is expected to grow into the Spring of 2023 and beyond as we onboard more students.

4.) World Linguistics TV had its best year in terms of growth with a gradual increase of 1200% in viewership over the duration of the year. The program is expected to reach 1,000 subscribers in 2023.

We wanted to thank all of our students, listeners, viewers, and partners all around the globe for such a great year, and we look forward to the social impact that World Linguistics will have on the planet and on others in 2023.
